Destiny Malibu: “Kissed By An Angel” shows an impressive range

Destiny Malibu has toured various US states and has performed at legendary locations like the House of Blues, the Viper Room in Hollywood, the Canyon Club, the Texas Rockfest, the Gorilla Fest,  the Florida Music Festival, and San Diego’s Brick by Brick. “Oblivion”, the 4th release by Destiny Malibu skyrocketed the songstress up the charts where she ranked #1 on Reverbnation’s Pop category locally and regionally, #4 nationally and globally, and #17 out of all genres. Destiny has a catalog of over 125 songs including “Sweet Dreams” which was featured on TLC’s ‘Answered Prayers’ hosted by Roma Downey, and has just dropped here latest single, “Kissed By An Angel”.

The new single is based around a catchy chorus that people will want to sing along to and also shows off Destiny’s remarkably strong higher range. On her past work she really pushed herself to show off her full range of talents and this is shown to an even better degree on “Kissed By An Angel”. The second verse culminates in Destiny rapping her bars, and in such, showing off her complete range of skills.

Her voice is, quite frankly, massive. Watching her music videos she shows an enthusiasm and lack of self-consciousness and pretension rarely seen in her peers, and a closer look at some of her songs shows a hugely impressive range and a ridiculously powerful voice.

While she generally sits comfortably in your average alto range, every once in a while, she lets loose, and her voice absolutely soars, without hesitation or any lack of power. The lyrics, the up-tempo beat, the rapped second verse, and crazy vocal tricks bring “Kissed By An Angel” into infectious and impressive territory.

The single – undoubtedly one of Destiny Malibu’s strongest yet – showcases her talent, versatility, and confidence in a record that is more than a simple pop song. While the song, in some instances, may seem similar to those of other powerful pop voices, Destiny’s distinct voice and sheer power differentiates her from others in the charts.

Her voice is strong and brimming with emotion, and the listener feels the song’s affection along with her. “Kissed By An Angel” is a self-assured pop record that shows what Destiny Malibu – named by Shutter 16 Magazine as one of the 25 Break-Out Artists of 2016 – can truly do!
