Kristen Karma not only wields a certificate in Audio Engineering from Hot Sole Music, but has studied voice with Judith Rabinovitch, who has worked with the likes of Avril Lavigne and Sarah McLachlan. In 2013, Kristen Karma was selected as one of two performers to play the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball After-party and open for Tour DJ/Lady Gaga BFF Lady Starlight in Vancouver. In 2017, she opened for Grammy Award Winner Akon in Guelph, Ontario on his Canadian Promo Tour.

Hot off the heels of her performance, Kristen was then approached and selected to play the Lady Gaga – Joanne World Tour VIP After-party once again in Vancouver after Lady Gaga’s performance at Rogers Arena. Her current single “Party Heroes” is already garnering plenty of attention.

“Party Heroes” is drenched heavily in the big blasts of club-friendly synths, a driving four-on-the-four beat, and scorching electric guitars. For all of her rock n’ roll posturing and EDM groove, by the end of it, there’s little doubting Kristen Karma’s sincerity.

She’s committed to her sound and invested in her style. It’s clear that “Party Heroes” is Karma’s most ambitious musical project to date, as well as a poignant reminder of the artist’s power to create and subsequently execute a track of this caliber. There’s nothing small about this track, and Karma sings the roof off it.

It helps that “Party Heroes” has a clutch of mighty hooks propelling Kristen Karma’s headlong charge. The track has an expansive and euphoric vibe that takes me back to the 80’s and 90’s rock and hardcore dance scenes, and will likely be a centerpiece of Karma’s live show.

There are many things that I genuinely love about this track. For one, it’s got grit.  I picture rolling through the night towards the club, windows turned down and the wind in my hair, it makes me feel pretty awesome. Featuring a huge chorus, sweeping hooks, and an extended guitar riffing. One minute it’s a dance record, the next it’s stadium rock.

The lyrics are easy to shout, the beat builds into banging stomps. This is the kind of stuff that makes you want to fist pump yourself into a rapture. It’s is how a real dancefloor anthem was meant to sound like.

Kristen Karma keeps us interested and grooving along, by weaving her angst-filled vocals between the raucous synth in the choruses and the rock rhythm during the verses. It’s simply pulse-pounding and infectious, and will leave you breathless by the time it’s finished its run-time. The fire and brimstone sonics of “Party Heroes” has the potential to attract listeners from diverse genres.

With skillful vocals and a focused crossover sound, Kristen Karma does plenty to carve out her own style on “Party Heroes”. Her vibrant styling and catchy vocal lines make the song’s construction even more dynamic. Combined with nimble and skilled production, it makes for an exceptionally appealing combination. Kristen Karma is ready to make a strong impact.
